Dear Sir or Madam,

Pidley Road, Somersham / Somersham Road, Pidley

I am writing to advise you that Cambridgeshire Highways will shortly be Surface Dressing the carriageway in the vicinity of your property.

Surface Dressing involves coating the existing carriageway surface with bitumen and the application of aggregate or chippings. The process is weather dependent and due to this being part of a countywide program delays can occur. At the time of writing this letter, our current program start date is Tuesday 2nd June 2015.

Please look out for the advanced notices on site, as these will give the most up to date information; or contact our call centre on the above number or email.

Whilst work is in progress, the road will be closed and vehicular access will be restricted. Where required, a signed diversion route will be provided for through traffic. In order for the contractor to complete the work with minimum disruption, it is essential that no vehicles are parked on the road.

There will obviously be some noise and disruption associated with the work, and I apologise for any inconvenience that you may suffer.

If you have any queries regarding the works please use the above contact details.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation in this matter.

Adult social care, older people's services survey

Posted by Tracey on October 12, 2014 at 6:05 PM Comments comments (0)

As part of developments around adult social care, older people’s services and the Care Act, Cambridgeshire County Council would like to gather the views of our residents about their information needs around planning for their future and how they would like to access this.

We would be very grateful if you could circulate our survey to residents in your area and share it via your website and newsletters.

The survey will run until 31 October and there are paper copies available in libraries and GPs.

Here’s some text that may be useful:

Cambridgeshire County Council is working with its colleagues and partners in health and the voluntary and community sector to improve how it provides information and advice for local people and would like to understand more about your concerns or worries about the future and staying independent, safe and well - what information you might need to help you to plan for yourself and those you care for, and where you would turn for advice.

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey." target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https/
